The small borgo of Pieve a Pava is half an hour’s drive south from the city of Siena, in a lesser known but particularly captivating part of Tuscany, called the Crete Senesi. It has been converted into a small luxury guesthouse, where one can easily discover the charms of the Tuscan way of life whilst finding ’one’s home away from home’...
It was time beginning of November for the Truffel season in Tuscany. Rita & Johnny provided delicious food & wines around the famous mushroom in the area. It was simply awesome. Guitar Johnny brought the right atmosphere to enjoy the dinner and the guests from all over the world. Once again, the location, the warm and welcoming hosts made this stay unforgetable for us. Pieve a Pava is always a place to come back to.
We stayed here for four night in mid-April and are still in a state of bliss thanks to the beauty and tranquility of this special place. Johny and Rita are lovely hosts and provided us not only with a delicious breakfast every morning but were generous with recommendations of local sites and restaurants. Can’t recommend staying here and the surrounding country highly enough.
We stayed at Pieve a Pava for a week with a group of friends and it was the *perfect* Tuscan experience. In particular Rita’s cooking was amazing, Our room was perfect for us – just beautiful and elegant in a country way. We loved the location deep in the countryside with access to Florence, Sienna and lots of other smaller towns all around. Great walking from the guesthouse, beautiful countryside. A luxurious experience that was fantastic for a group of friends.
You have to be a special person to go to this enchanting place. The WIFI may not be very fast, the dusty track leading up to the house is not fit for a Ferrari, you cannot walk to the shops. All this for me makes this place bliss.Stylishly furnished with Axel Vervoordt inspired interiors, the Belgian owners know how to treat their guests. Johnny & Rita cater to your every need and the cooking is sublime. We loved the pool and the gardens and the stunning views over the Siennese “Creti”…
